Feature

Captions, without the upload

Most viewers watch muted. Kapture transcribes your narration entirely on your Mac — Whisper-class models bundled with the app — and styles it like a title designer would: word-timed, with the spoken word highlighted as it's said.

On-device transcription

No audio leaves your machine and no account is involved. A long recording takes a minute or two; cues land on the timeline as chips with per-word timing, ready to edit like text.

Edit like a transcript, style like a designer

Click a word to jump the playhead to the moment it's spoken. Merge transcription's short fragments into readable lines. Font, size, colour, highlight, position and plate are one track-wide style — any single cue can override it without detaching from the rest.

Styling that follows the format

Caption style belongs to the timeline, so your vertical cut can run big centred captions while the landscape cut keeps them small and low — same transcript, no duplicate work.

Questions

Which languages does transcription support?

The bundled Whisper-class models cover the major languages; you can also use Apple's speech engine.

Are captions burned into the export?

Yes by default — turn the track off before exporting if a platform will add its own.

Can I fix a mis-heard word?

Every cue is editable text; edits survive restyling.
