Feature
Screen recording software built for the Mac
Kapture captures up to four synchronised streams — screen, camera, microphone, system audio — at native resolution and frame rate. And it records one thing most screen recorders throw away: a log of what you actually did, which is what powers the automatic edit.
Four streams, one recording
Pick a display or a single window. The camera records full-frame alongside — its shape and position are editing decisions, not recording ones. Your narration and the Mac's own audio land on separate tracks, so you can balance them after the fact.
The event log is the difference
With your permission, Kapture logs clicks, pointer movement and keystrokes while recording. That log is why zooms place themselves where you worked, why the cursor is drawn (smooth, resizable, restyleable) instead of filmed, and why keyboard shortcuts can appear as key-caps on screen.
Native, notarized, local
A Swift app for Apple silicon, notarized by Apple — no Electron shell, no account to create, no upload step. Recordings, transcripts and event logs live in a project bundle on your disk and go nowhere else.
Recording and editing are free; a licence removes the watermark and lifts exports to 4K and 60 fps when you're ready to publish.
Questions
Does it record system audio?
Yes — on its own track, separate from your microphone, so the balance is adjustable in the edit.
What does it run on?
macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon.
Is there a time limit or account requirement?
No account, no time limit. Free to record and edit; a licence removes the export watermark.
Can I record just one window?
Yes — a display for room to crop later, or a single window for a clean capture of one app.
