Feature

The cursor is drawn. The keystrokes are shown.

Kapture records with the system cursor hidden and draws its own from the event log. That's why the pointer in your export can be bigger, smoother and cleaner than the one you actually moved — and why the shortcuts you pressed can appear as key-caps, timed to the moment you pressed them.

A pointer viewers can follow

Scale it up for phone-cropped video, smooth the hand jitter with an eased path, add motion blur for fast moves, fade it out when idle, and mark every click with a ripple — all after the recording.

Key-caps without the paranoia

Shortcut chords show as key-caps on the canvas. Plain typing is excluded by default, so passwords and prose never appear — and any single chord can be suppressed.

Questions

Why does this need Accessibility permission?

The cursor and key-caps are rebuilt from the input event log, which macOS gates behind Accessibility and Input Monitoring. Kapture never uploads the log.

Can I change cursor size for just the vertical cut?

Yes — cursor settings follow the timeline, like captions do.
